In the 1500's, a group of men in Rome fought back against the church. Some of Italy's most enlightened men-physicists, mathematicians, astronomers-began meeting secretly to share their concerns about the church's inaccurate teachings. They fears that the church's monopoly on 'truth' threatened academic enlightenment around the world. They founded the world's first scientific think tank, calling themselves 'the enlightened ones'. The Illuminati."
The ancient brotherhood, the created in secret in the 1500's the Illuminati had to meet and converse in complete secrecy. If the church had found out that this group exsisted, those who were a part of the Illuminati would have been executed. Any group that jeprodized the church's control or power were abolished immediately.
Two of the most famous Illuminati members were Galileo and Bernini. Galileo was famous for his ground breaking ideas about the universe, stars and that the world revolved around the sun instead of the sun revolving around the earth. Many of the scientific discoveries he made were stepping stones on disproving Biblical theories and ideas. The church refused to stand by while Galileo gained more support. Galileo wrote his first book "Dialogo". It was about the scientific model of the solar system. To publish this book he also had to include a picture of the church's model. The Vatican still felt this was heretic (following controversial beliefs and disagreeing with the officially accepted dogma of the Roman Catholic Church)and had put Galileo in house arrest as punishment. Galileo was tried and found guilty for heresy for his belief that the earth rotates the sun. While his time in the Vatican, Galileo published in secret a book called "Diagramma". In this book there was a clue to scientists to help find the Illuminati lair.

Bernini is the second most famous sculptor in history and had created more sculptures than any other artist. In the 1600's, Bernini was the appointed by the Vatican to create many of the art pieces that filled the churches and cathedrals in Rome. Yet to many historian's disbelief, Bernini was not only an Illuminati member, but was also the one who laid out the Illuminati path. He was able to do this by using his sculptures to point the way to the secret lair. To get these sculptures past the church's eyes he used angels and religious objects to help with his pathway.
